Summit of Wellness
The idea for Summit of Wellness came to me in a download during a meditation. As a daily meditator for the majority of my adult life, I have found my most profound moments come to me when I am meditating. The ability to quiet my mind enough to listen and receive has been highly impactful in my own personal evolution. I was raised religious with prayer being an essential part of daily life and faith practices. I do not contest the importance of prayer in my daily practices but I feel half of the lesson was missed in this spiritual training. If prayer is the Yin then I see meditation as the Yang. Until learning to meditate, I believe I was talking to my higher source but never truly listening for the answers to my questions and ideas. This left me with little direction in my life and constantly doubting my own inner compass.
Summit of Wellness is a community of beings who can see the interconnectedness of all. Through all of life’s experiences, we gain so many lessons and blessings. My vision for the SOW community is to learn from each others’ lessons, grow from our connectedness and abundantly expand from each others’ sharing of blessings. SOW’s motto is “Reap What You Sow” which perfectly embodies the concept of this community. When you sow a life of gratitude, love, compassion, generosity, and strength you reap the benefits tenfold. The journey will not be without its ups and downs but the community we surround ourselves with will be there to lift you up when down and cheer you on when you are flying high.
I would be remiss to share SOW without unfurling the why behind downloading to me. On my 28th birthday in August 2021, my mom and dad contracted COVID during a birthday dinner to celebrate my mom’s birthday which is three days before mine. Both my parents became very sick and ended up being admitted to the hospital on September 3rd for hypoxia caused by COVID phenomena. With so much gratitude, I share that my dad made a full recovery. But my mom passed away 24 days later after major organ failure incurred following over three weeks on a ventilator. The loss was crushing to all who knew the beautiful light that was my mother especially to my dad and I.
I share this story because it was the abrupt coming on of the lights in my soul. A physical turning point for the direction of my life in which I would never go back. As a twenty-something navigating the last nearly two years of the pandemic, I struggled as many empathic beings did with depression, hopelessness, and numbing out the bleak, every declining state of the world. But this life event changed the heading of my course in life. I felt more awake than I had maybe ever, even pre-pandemic. Like many in a spiritual awakening, I began to search for answers about what lies beyond the physical world of our five senses. From the moment of my mom’s passing from the physical world, I could feel her presence with me and that brought me great comfort. But the student in my soul wanted to really understand more of what lies beyond. I was blessed enough to be welcomed in by incredible communities of healers, mentors, and teachers who shared their wealth of knowledge verbally and in resources. I absorbed it all like a sponge. The best way I can describe it is a sense of remembering. As if I was coming home to a way of life I once knew but had forgotten for too long. I am devoted to a life and pursuit of remembering as a student of life. Purposefully driven to share and exchange knowledge to connect and expand the collective consciousness in a time when we all need it more than ever.
Find your community and home at SOW, remembering a way of life that allows you to reap all the dreams you so diligently sow.
I will be sharing weekly content on the many different healing modalities I have learned from the wealth of knowledge from teachers, mentors, and guides during my healing journey. A heart of service is the guiding force behind creating this platform for love, joy, and gratitude for all our expansion.
“The Law of Attraction says that that which is like unto itself is drawn. In other words, that which you think, at any moment, attracts unto itself other thoughts that are like it”.
— Abraham Hicks
My true desire is that those drawn to the SOW community will be attracted by the immense compacity for love and possibilities for healing and growth this container holds. We are all students and teachers of life regardless of our age and any other factors of our current reality. When we connect with others we teach and are taught. The experience is reciprocal as energy and knowledge flows out so it is received in return similar to the experience of Reiki. In my next post, I will share more about Usui Reiki and the incredible power it has to change our lives.
With so much love, light, and gratitude,
Erica
