European Adventure Diaries- Part One
Dublin, Ireland- Munich, gERMANY- rOME, iTALY- Vatican City
I recently had the opportunity to travel to Europe for the first time to visit one of my dearest friends who currently resides in Munich, Germany. This trip was a dream come true as I have always wanted to travel Europe and having this opportunity to experience it with one of my best friends was such a gift. I first flew from Seattle, Washington USA to Dublin, Ireland and had a 24 hour layover there. I’d love to go back to Ireland to really get to explore the beauty and history with more time. Then I flew from Dublin to Munich, Germany where I was reunited with my best friend, Anna Laura who has lived there with her husband for the past two years. After a day or two of rest and readjusting to the time change, I went out on the U-bahn to explore Mariensplatz and other beautiful sights of Munich.
After a few days of exploration of Munich, my friend, Anna Laura, her husband, Cristopher, and I headed out on a sleeper train from Munich to Rome, Italy. 14 hours later, we arrived through the Italian countryside into Roma! Over the next 6 days, we were immensely blessed to spend time with the most wonderful company surrounded by absolute beauty and history of ancient Roma and Vatican City. We enjoyed decadent food and endlessly great times. After walking over 30 miles all over Rome and Vatican City for 5 days, we concluded our Italian adventure with a restorative day at QC Terme, a relaxing, beautiful spa just outside of Rome. A we said arrivederci with so much gratitude to Italy, we continued our European adventure to the Amsterdam, Netherlands next!
